Sunday Journal: "When Listening Hearts Hear Angels Sing" --- 5:43 a.m. With Love, Your Joy Coach, Karyn Grant :)

“Listening Hearts Hear Angels Sing”

I awakened, on October 25th, prior to my “Joy Coaching Webinar”,  to my cell phone ringing, early one morning.  Sleepily, I picked it up and tried to read the number, without my contacts.  It was a foreign number, one that I didn’t recognize.  As I answered the call, I heard a beautiful voice on the other end, with an enchanting English accent.  It was Ginny, calling from South Africa.

Ginny and I had never met before.  She had discovered my “Joy Coaching” business by doing an internet search on “Google”. We had been sending emails back and forth, searching for the perfect time to chat, between our eight hour difference in international time zones.  "Hmmm..." I thought to myself... "God truly does hear and answer prayers!" I had been praying, "Oh Lord, increase my territory!" since I inherited my father's book, "The Prayer of Jabez".

“Karyn, I have not been able to get you off my mind!  I even dreamt your name!” She said with an infectious laugh and intriguing accent.

I was recovering from a sore throat, and only wished that I could express my joyful sentiments in return.  As we talked that early morning, Ginny shared her work with me.  “I teach parents how to love and nurture their children!  When I found that you use music, massage and aromatherapy, I was thrilled!”  Ginny went on to express how she too, felt that touch, songs and scent were important applications when nurturing a parent who is in need of experiencing, the art of cherishing, so that they can nurture and respond to their children, with pure love.”

Though Ginny and I had never met, nor spoken before, it was clear that our timely discovery of one another’s gifts, interests, hobbies and callings, were nothing short of Divine Intervention!  My only sorrow, in the moment, was that all I could do was whisper, when my my heart was bubbling over with enthusiasm!

I shared a dream with Ginny, basically in a whisper, that I had never shared with anyone else before.  “Ginny, many years ago, when I was working at my business, “The Cherishing Place”, I had a dream.  I dreamed that I was in a third world country, standing beside the Savior.  His white sleeves on his loose white robe, were rolled up.  His hair was in a pony tail.  I had never envisioned Jesus this way, but, it was clear in the dream that he was teaching me the work, of ministering to one soul at a time.  There was someone laying on a massage table in front of us.  He showed me how to lay one hand, suspended in the air, about three to four inches above the heart, while placing the other hand, suspended over the mind.  He shared with me, non-verbally, the importance of having the heart and mind, integrated into a perfect state of “divine oneness” in order to create harmony, peace, love and balance in a human soul.  He shared with me, that by communicating merely by thought, that if I would attend to the “heart and mind connection”, that the cells, molecules and atoms of the human being, would follow in attuning to that sense of healing and wholeness.”

I went on whispering the rest of my dream, to Ginny.  "As I beheld the Savior’s healing hands, I was filled with the desire to go to a third world country.  He told me that this would not be necessary.  He told me that I live in a third world country when it comes to souls that are hungering and thirsting after righteousness.  He told me that there was plenty of work for me to do, right here and right now, in 'The United States of America.'

Ginny was quiet on the other end of the phone.  Then with a joyful laugh, she said, “Karyn, I am sitting here in a long white robe, with my hair in a ponytail!”  She proceeded to share with me, how she lives in Capetown, South Africa, where there is an abundance of beauty and wealth.  Her loving voice smiled on the other end of the phone, as I listened to her tell me about the women in the townships, just a few miles away.
Ginny explained their plight to me now.  “These women have lived in subservience for generations.  They are rich in love, in community and are wealthy when it comes to loving and serving their families and their neighbors.  They laugh at those of us who live in the big houses and drive fancy cars!  They think that we are the ones who live in poverty!  We are always busy and never have enough time to get to know our neighbors!”

Ginny went on to express that these women, have the gift of healing in their hands.  They suffer from low self worth and do not feel as though they deserve anything.  Feelings of unworthiness have been passed on to them, for generations, by those who have been mistreated by those who have oppressed them.  They have been mistreated for so long, that they do not even lift their eyes when they talk.  But, Karyn, these women are so gifted!  They do not realize the gift of healing that is in their own hands!"
I shared with Ginny, in hushed tones, about the story my mother had sent to me over a decade about "The African Singing Tribe" of women, who go out into nature and listen to the sounds in the wild.  How they learn "the song of the child" and come back to the community and sing the song to the other mothers.  How in this one particular community, it was noted that there was a decrease in crime, because rather than punish the child when it expresses deviant behavior, they sing to the child.  All the women in this village, who have learned the song of that child, sing a song of remembrance to that child, reminding him/her of who they truly are!  Ginny, it was my mother's story to me, that became the premise for my method, "The Healer's Touch" using song and scent to remind souls who they truly are!
Ginny laughed again, "See, Karyn, it's all coming full circle!  Your mother sending you the story of this African tribe and now, your work gets to come here!"

We talked about the purpose, the calling and the mission of “Joy Coaching”.  We talked about sharing the pure love of the Divine Creator with those, who may not be ready to fully embrace Him, but who are starving to know the truth about His unconditional love.  We spoke about the power of “The Healer’s Touch Method”, which accesses the heart and the mind, by incorporating all five senses, which can raise the vibration to peace, love and joy----not only for the person on the massage table, (or a simple mat), but as well, for the facilitator.

Now, came the questions about how to get “The Joyful Heart” library of one thousand songs,  from the United States to South Africa, without the risk of it taking a month, being stolen along the way, or having to pay tremendous tariffs for the product.

I knew there had to be a way, through the internet.  I quickly remembered a blessing which I had received only a month before this call on October 25th, 2013.  “You have been reserved to come forth at this time in the world’s history, so that your voice can travel to the remote places of the world.”

I have a sore throat, and I have lost my voice!”  I said apologetically to Ginny.  “But, I wish you could hear my enthusiasm!  I am so excited!  I have been praying that angel’s will whisper my name to those who are ready for this work!”

“Yes, Karyn!” Ginny offered, to buoy up my confidence.  “I hear your enthusiasm! And I did hear your name being whispered to me in my dream!”

I suppose, when angels whisper, it only matters if we have ears to hear.  I remembered the angel doll, my sister had given me as a Christmas present, when I was beginning to write the songs of  my heart, all about the Savior’s infinite love for all of God’s Children.  “Listening hearts hear angels sing” had been inscribed onto the wings of the angel.

I remembered living in Grandma Grant’s basement after Grandpa had passed away, when I used to kneel beside my bed and pray regularly, “Please, Father in Heaven, please find the way to send the songs of my heart, written for and about the Savior’s redeeming love, on a mission.”

Suddenly, I knew that all the puzzle pieces were at last coming to together. And…I knew there would be more. The women I had been meeting across the nation, were all a part of God’s grand design to take a tender, loving, Christ-Centered Approach to those who are spiritually and emotionally starving, perhaps, even malnourished for the want of a rich supply of Living Bread and Living Water, to those with broken hearts.

And now, “Ginny”.  A reminder of God’s love, to me, nearly twenty five years, after I had begun praying, “Please, Father in Heaven, send this music on a mission!  Please bless it to travel to the places that I can’t travel. Please bless it to reach the souls who are in need of the pure love of Christ, to find it, to hear it and to have their broken hearts be touched, blessed and comforted by it.”

I know it matters, not, if I am there in person.  What matters is that “The Healer’s Touch” is all about the Savior’s Gift of Healing, not mine.  It’s all about women creating a healing place, a quiet place, where angels can come minister, while the unseen Savior, behind the scenes does the work that only He can do.

We are the earth-angels who prepare the healing place, provide the song, the scents, the gentle touch, and then simply behold, in absolute awe….as the Savior’s, “The Healer’s Touch”, performs the miracle.

Why "The Healer’s Touch Method" Works!

Vibrational Attunment Through:
The Pathways To Healing Through The Five Physical Senses
By Karyn Grant, The Joy Coach

Are you aware, that it is through your God-Given physical senses that spiritual-emotional memories are established in the very cells and atoms of your heart-mind-body-spirit? Did you know that the more you access and involve your physical senses in any spiritual experience or emotional process, the deeper that experience is imprinted into the heart, mind, body and spirit at a spiritual, emotional, physical, atomic and metaphysical level?

Did you know that the strongest connection you made when you were first born was through your five physical senses?  Consider this image in your mind.  Imagine yourself as a brand new baby, being held, cradled and caressed in your mother’s arms.  You feel her soothing touch on your soft, velvety cheek as she smiles into your newborn eyes and whispers how much she loves you.  She cradles you at her breast and nurtures you with the sense of taste, or rocks you as she feeds you your bottle.  As you breathe in her scent, you further bond to her.  Every sense is involved in this first perception of receiving her adoration, her nurturing, her cherishing.

As you grow, there may be negative stimuli associated through your senses to your mother.  You may hear her voice become agitated with you (sense of hearing).  You may see her eyebrows furrowed as she tells you to go and clean your room. (Sense of sight)  You may not like the taste of her cooking.  Our first memories of our primary nurturers hopefully, are pleasant and positive ones.  This serves to give a sense of security, a sense of safety, a sense of being nurturered, a sense of being loved---all through our five physical senses.

In order to re-create this sense of safety, security and love, we must repeat the process.  Hence, through The Healer’s Touch Method, we access the five physical senses to remind the heart-mind-body-spirit of our first impressions of life.

Therefore, it is by tapping into the physical senses, that you can access the sense of the divine within, or on the contrary, the sensual realm within.  The intention of The Healer’s Touch Method is to create a series of repeated processes that accentuates the positive,  the divinity within.  In this process, by using music, massage, aromatherapy, guided imagery and the sense of taste, we thereby, set the hard-drive of the heart-mind into motion to automatically begin eliminating the negative, destructive, base desires and memories; much like dumping old programs and virus’ off a computer hard-drive and begin uploading new and improved programs for Christ-Centered Healing in the Heart-Mind-Body-Spirit.

I will elect to show you how each one of the senses can be accessed in order to not only eliminate negative programming but utilized to establish the integration of positive programming into the memory banks of our beings at a sub-conscious, creative conscious, conscious, cellular and atomic level.

The Sense of Touch:
Through the sense of touch, the nerve endings send messages to our heart-mind that we are either being touched in a positive or negative way.  If we are touched in a positive way, a way that shows honor to the spiritual being within, we are imprinted with positive experiences and hence, memories that establish in our heart-mind-body-spirit that “touch is a good thing”.  If we have experienced being dishonored, through the sense of touch, we imprint and anchor into our cellular memory, that touch is adversely, a bad thing or something to be cautious and wary of.  Whether we have experienced “touch deprivation” or abuse through the sense of touch, we can be healed of our perception that touch is a bad thing.  Through “The Healer’s Touch Method”, we use therapeutic, compassionate touch to establish feelings of safety, respect and honor, through the physical sense, recognizing that we are programming the heart-mind-body-spirit with positive programming that establishes into the cellular memory that we are loved, nurtured, cherished and adored.

The Sense of Smell
Did you know that the sense of smell is the only one of the five physical senses that is connected to the limbic centers of the brain?  Thus, by using Aromatherapy, we can create a conduit or passageway into the recesses of the mind, that channel  positive aromas or negative aromas which thereby imprint positive or negative associations with particular memories.  Likewise, through the same process, negative emotions that are anchored into the mind, in the amagdyla (two almond shaped glands that retain the imprinting of negative or traumatic memories), may be released by the fine molecules of aromas that have the intelligence for “dispatching” negative memories and replacing them with positive ones through the sense of smell.

The Sense of Hearing
Through the sense of hearing, sound waves, music as therapy, positive words affirming the worth and value of a soul, are conducted into the belief systems of the mind brain which transmit vibrations which are proficient in producing vibrational energies of light, love and truth.  Music performs a massage on an atomic level which assists in the purging process of toxins and negative emotional energies.

Affirming words create positive reinforcement that raise the vibration in the body which dispels self-doubt, misbeliefs about oneself, and helps to eliminate and eradicate negative and limiting beliefs.  Loving lyrics coupled with beautiful instrumentals, work through the right and left hemispheres of the mind-brain, awakening new thoughts which in turn stimulate emotional responses which then redirects the heart’s desires and the dictates of one’s conscious mind into positive actions.  Music is a great conductor of positive energies, which stimulate a unification, a cellular symphony, so to speak, where heart-mind-body and spirit are working together for the well being and ultimate health of the entire human being.

The Sense of Sight- (Insight)
It has been said that “Some of the greatest sights we will ever see are behind our eyes, not before them.”  Through the stimulation of our visual perceptions, through guided imagery and positive visualization, the mind-brain can begin to imagine new “insights”.  “Where there is no vision, the people perish.”  Old images and belief systems can be replaced with new images of new behaviors simply by visualizing them.  Since the brain does not perceive the difference between “real” or “perceived” experiences, we can suggest to the mind,  through whispered words of affirmation, a new self-image by introducing positive pictures into the memory banks; thus creating different actions and outcomes.

Dancing With Angels: One Hundred Thousand Angels On My Side

“Dancing With Angels” is part of the “Joy Coaching Series".  This module moves us towards a deeper understanding of how our childhood wounds, that once blocked the path to joy, can now become the impetus for healing; as well as the catalyst for bringing our gifts to the surface!  Again, like “The Enlightened Journey”, it is about learning to forgive, accept and love, the person in the mirror and the circumstances that we have ventured into without always knowing the outcome.  It is about transcending our addictions, weaknesses and follies and awakening to the angel within.

The "Dancing With Angels" manual, is a guide to claiming the gift of ministering angels during a mortal life that may be fraught with confusing twists and turns.  It is also about learning how to forgive ourselves when we take a detour; and continuing the journey with divine intervention; the ministering of angels.  We are nurturing women on missions, learning that mercy supersedes justice and compassion transcends judgment in our divine roles as wives, mothers, sisters, daughters, friends, business associates...and traveling companions.

"Dancing with Angels" is about accessing our talents, skills and abilities.  It is about humbling asking for help in our divine assignments and roles.  It is about becoming open and honest with our emotions, our inadequacies, our past choices and our present circumstances.  We all stand in need of ministering angels; whether we feel that we deserve them or not.  Tennyson once said that “not even the angels themselves can minister to mortals as well as a mortal who has been broken in the wheels of living…”  I believe that our life’s experiences become our  “Master’s Degree” through which we learn to minister to one another’s wounds and encourage one another to become our noblest and finest selves.

Though this module is about healing the hidden wounds of the heart and mind; it is also about developing the gift of unconditional love for others so that we may be with our stewardships, in their own crucial moments.  We are learning to speak the messages that God put into our hearts and minds to deliver to our spouse, our children, our friends and our clients.
Our hearts are turned to our mortal parents in compassion; realizing they did the best they knew how to do at the time.  Our souls are filled with the very hope that our children will have compassion upon us.  There is a need to extend healing beyond the veil, inter-dimensionally to those who have lived and died and now look upon us with great tenderness and compassion; wishing to assist us in clearing up the path for unborn generations to come.

It is time to heal the generations; past, present and future.  In our effort to be made whole, or complete, we must realize that when we embrace the atonement for ourselves, a ripple effect is sent out forward and backward into the universe.  We  are not alone; we are all one.  In our search for unconditional love, many of us have turned to “other loves before God”, in an effort to solace, comfort and heal our broken hearts.   “All else shall fail...except Charity; which is the absolute mercy; even the pure love of Christ.”

Angels have come and joined me on my path.  They have walked before me and behind me, to my left and to my right; angels both seen and unseen.  But, the dearest of them all, is our Savior, Jesus Christ, who has never for one moment, left my side.  It is He, who has taught me in my journey, that it is my assignment to be a “robe carrier”. Everywhere I go, to everyone I meet, I offer each, a robe of mercy.  Perhaps, because I have come to value the gift of mercy above any of the other attributes of Christ.  Perhaps, because I have come to believe in the principle of forgiveness.  Through it all I have learned; “Bless are the merciful; for they shall obtain mercy…”  But, the most important person we must learn to forgive…is the divine reflection in the mirror.

Enlightened Journey: A Woman's Journey With Joy!

There comes a point in each one of our lives, when we need to survey the scene, scan the vistas we have traveled, and glean the blessings in disguise. As we gaze upon our lives, through the Savior's eyes, we may be surprised to see ourselves with greater love, empathy, kindness and compassion, if we will take the time to see ourselves, through His divine perspective!

As we connect to our sense of self, soul and cells, we come to realize that we must learn to be, our very own best friend.  After all, it is our choice to nurture ourselves or not, that will bear the fruits of our labors; the nurturing or negligence of our own self and soul.

"Enlightened Journey" is all about ascending the hillside with Christ.  It is about setting new goals to release old patterns, fruitless addictions and embrace what matters most.  It is about becoming honest with ourselves and with God, realizing that we are only accountable for ourselves!

I hope you will enjoy this module!  It took me two years to experience it and write it!  Step by step, song by song, meditation by meditation, I learned to lean upon Christ until I finally could reach out into the darkness and hold his hand.  It was in this module I learned that by dancing with Jesus, I was coming to a place of forgiveness for my Self, which has blessed me with a lasting place of inner peace.  I found in the darkness, that Christ illuminated my heart and found his sanctuary within my soul.

Read Galations 2:20 today.  I will not write out the scripture for you...I urge you to open your scriptures and read it for yourselves.  This verse is becoming the result for my passion in finding my way through the world, to Christ.

Four CDs for "Night-Time Nurturing" leads us through "A Woman's Journey to Wholeness".  In essence, if you don't nurture yourself in Christ's love and light...who will?

Much Love,
Karyn

Peace Coaching - "Is There No Balm in Gilead?"

In ancient times, when the people were ailing from physical distress, they turned to the resin of a tree, to bring relief to their physical maladies.  Later, the term, "Balm of Gilead" came to denote the "salve", or salvation of Christ's saving graces.

Have we become so focused upon the pursuit of physical relief that we have forgotten to place Christ at the center of our lives?  There is no essential oil, that can save, or "salve" us from deep emotional duress.  There is no ointment to replace the need for the "atonement".  There is no plant-blood that can
take the place of our need for the Savior's atoning lifeblood, to cleanse our hearts and minds from childhood griefs, the pains of puberty, or the ailments of adulthood.

The essences of plants, point to Christ.  Today, as I gave a "Peace Coaching" Session to a 23 year old young man, I explained how plants gravitate to sunlight.  I told him, "People are the only one of God's creations, that use their agency to gravitate towards the darkness."  He nodded his head in agreement.

I muscle tested him for a small group of oils, and began to create a blend, specific to his needs.  He loved his new blend and expressed his desire to change his life. As tears streamed his cheeks, he admitted his desire to "gravitate towards the light" and expressed his disdain for "darkness".

I think of how the essential oils opened up the conversation between us.  As I explained how Wild Orange helps one to overcome "perfectionism", I watched as he breathed his way towards self-acceptance.  As I expressed that Bergamot inspires us to love ourselves, I witnessed as he exhaled the resentment that he had suppressed inside his soul.  As I shared how lemon is cleansing, and encouraged him to allow his mind to be filled with sunlight, I saw peace replace his tear stained face.

During his session, I pointed out how each of the oils had come to bless him emotionally and spiritually.  I beheld in sweet awe as he opened his mind and heart and began gracefully shifting from the lower vibrations of self-contempt into the higher vibrations of passionate exuberance for life.

Following his session, he sat in my office with paper and pen, feeling the need to write some notes about his plans to re-create his life.  He placed the little vial of oils that I had created for him into his pocket, as though he was safe-guarding a piece of gold.  Truly, he was---for his gift from Mother Earth and Mother in Heaven today, was a "ray...a drop of golden sun"!

There is no sweeter work than the work of Joy-Coaching; which is assisting others in discovering their gift and delivering their message!  Except, perhaps, the work of inspiring souls, with "the balm of gilead" to replace "the blame and guilt" of a peace-less life.

How can we work towards "World Peace" if we have not achieved "Personal Peace"?  How can we focus only on the physical benefits of the oils without giving credit to the Divine Creator for manifesting his creativity in healing our broken hearts and wounded spirits?

Jeremiah said it best, when he said, "Is there no balm in Gilead?  I take this to mean, "Is there no credence for Christ's atoning sacrifice?"  It is my hope and prayer that as you visit with me, you find yourself hungering and thirsting for more imput about the pure intention of the oils which is to not only act as ointment and salve to the human being; but to become part of a higher design----for the anointment and salvation of men's souls.

When Christ left his disciples, he parted with this message, "Peace I leave with you, My Peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth, give I unto you...."

The oils are most precious when they are combined with the love of God.  That is when the oils vibrate at their highest potential---when the person administering them understands that they are merely a witness of God's love.

Joy Coaching with The Spirit: "Creating Heaven on Earth" by Karyn Grant, LMT

Have you wondered how you can assist the angels in bringing heaven on earth?  I once read a Reader's Digest article about a woman who was very ill.  She was too exhausted to do much housework, make meals for her family or care for their physical needs.

One night, she urged her husband to take the children to a baseball game so that she could rest her exhausted body on the couch.  He agreed and soon, she found herself dozing off, mid-evening, on the couch in their living room.

As she slept, she imagined that there was an angel sitting beside her, singing to her.  This roused her from sleep momentarily.  Soon, she found herself sleeping deeper than before.  Next, she imagined that there was an angel caressing her weary brow.  Again, this image in her mind's eye, roused her from sleep.  Following, she "dreamed" that an angel was bringing her flowers and that she was breathing in flower's soft scent.

Upon awakening, she felt much revived and cheered by her three visitors.  When her husband returned home with the children that evening, she was felt happier, more rest and more encouraged, than she had been for months of suffering.

As we seek to bring souls some sweet solacing with "The Healer's Touch" method through "song and scent", we find our own heavy burdens being lightened and lifted.  I have performed thousands of sessions through the years, and time after time, people want to know if this work exhausts me.

Today, a father asked me, "Doesn't this work tire you?"  I smiled at him and replied, "This is the most exhilarating work on the planet!"  Becoming a co-creator with Christ, and assisting Him in the creative process of "transforming grief into joy", is the act of drawing heaven to earth.

It is my hope and prayer, that as you incorporate the "Heaven on Earth: Singing Chakra Balance" Module 4, into your JOY COACHING sessions, that you too will find that by listening, sharing and blessing your loved ones and clients, with the process, that you will feel your own heart shifting to the higher vibrations of love, joy and peace.

Accepting the invitation to become an instrument in God's hands, simply means that you are willing to apply your faith to the process of bringing "Heaven on Earth", one soul at a time.  Though you may not understand the process of conducting electricity, that is of little importance.  Your physical body is an electrical being.  Let God work out the mysteries of how the process works.

Mary's Heart/ At Jesus' Feet by Karyn Grant

I prayed to know
what I should share
with women who were needing
more solace in a world of care
for souls whose hearts are bleeding...

A thought beseeched me
"Please believe Me
tell the story of the Mary's three
Mary of Magdala
Mary, My Mother
and Mary of Bethany..."

I went to work to study more
of these Mary's who had blessed Him
Who poured their oils in ancient days
to anoint, to nurture, caress Him...

And then came emails
from precious three...
Mary one
Mary two
Mary three
Who all were seeking more knowledge
about the healer's touch, from me...

Then another friend
whose brotherly love
was seeking peace and rest
to find a place where his own sweet brother
could be nurtured, tended, blessed....

"I have no quiet place that day
my home will be filled with noise...
my grandchildren will all be home
with their tears, their laughter, toys..."

I need a place to nurture him---
your younger brother, dear
a sacred place where I can work
the healer's touch, so dear....

"I have a place, in an old room
where a plaster image stands
of Mary and her beloved Son
a place for your healing hands...."

I went to look at the old room
in back of a shop unknown
there stood the plaster monument
The Pieta! Mary and her Son...

I spoke in whispers to the man
"May I bring my table here?
To bless and nurture one precious soul?
Whose heart is broken, but so dear?

"Yes!" said he and began to move
the crates to make a space
for my table, music, oils
a sacred healing place....

Today...a day of Mary's three?
No...a day of Mary's four....
one who shared
two who implored
and one who opened her heart's door...

A place for me at Her Son's feet
"The Healer's Touch" for Him
A broken soul to be reborn
For a Sweet Samaritan...

My healing place among old crates?
A place I never dreamed!
Shall become a sacred healing place
Oh, God dreams the sweetest dreams!

For me to work...with Angelo
to heal sweet broken souls
With Mary and Her Savior, Son
For hearts to be made whole...

No place in paradise for me
among palms swaying by the shore...
but among old crates, in a small space
With Jesus and Mary, I love more!

Together, Christ and Mary Sweet
will nurture through my hands
the tender soul of one lost lamb
One precious, beloved man...

Whose life was broken, torn apart
Who heart is broken yet
Yet I have been invited in...
to prepare for Jesus' guest.

"The Healer's Touch" I love so much
I do this work with heart and soul
to sing and solace hearts with oils
That they can be made whole...

And like the ancient Mary's three
I have a "Mary Heart"
I too have set the world aside
to choose that better part.

No mansion here upon the earth---
I can work among old crates!
At Jesus' feet, a place for me!
My sacred healing place!

Much Love,
Karyn Grant

Becoming A Christ-Centered Mentor

"Have you ever wondered, what you are going to truly do and be, when you grow up?  As a child, whenever anyone asked me what I was going to be, when I grew up, I would smile and say, "I'm gonna be an angel!"

Each one of us are in the process of becoming, "An Angel on Errand".  Each one of us has a God-given gift to discover and a message to deliver!  And for those of us who feel a sense of urgency, to bless and nurture precious souls on this planet, before Christ's Second Coming, it may be time to consider, that our name is being called and that our time has come to step into our divine roles and take our rightful place on the earth!

So, how does this all fit in with your personal one-on-one "Christ-Centered: Joy Coaching Sessions?  I firmly believe, that we all deserve a "Christ-Centered Mentor" in our life who has a gift for seeing us through a divine perspective.  I don't have a stewardship for all of God's children...but I do have a stewardship for blessing and mentoring a precious few!  I am praying to attract those "precious few".  I don't have enough time to mentor "the many"!

Today, as I have been preparing my lesson for my Sunday School class of five year olds, I have pondered the lesson and how it applies to you and me!  The lesson is about God's Spirit and how it "whispers" the way we should go when we are confused, afraid, or unsure of ourselves.

At the beginning of the class, I will blindfold one child and ask him to go and find his own seat among his friends.  Watching him step on toes and stumble around the room, may get a few squeals and giggles from the other children in the class!

Then, mercifully, I will ask one of his classmates to come and hold his little dimpled, darling hand.  I will ask the child without the blindfold on, to be God's special "helper".  I will ask that child to please whisper into the first child's ear, words of guidance and direction so as to eliminate unnecessary stumbling or stepping on toes.

I will watch as "God's little mentor" will gently whisper to the blindfolded child, the direction to go that will lead him directly to his very own place among his friends. Together, as a little class of God's Children, we will discuss how wonderful it is to have friends (mentors) along the way who walk with God's spirit and give us good directions!

Sometimes, it feels in our doTERRA business, that all the chairs have been taken.  Sometimes it is easy to get discouraged when you are wondering how to pursue the path that will enable you to reach your goals in your Christ-Centered Business Plan.  Sometimes, we realize that without over-coming our fears and insecurities, we are stumbling around, looking for our own place.  We may even step on alot of toes!

A "Christ-Centered Mentor" is one who is prayerfully considering the path-choice  of his/her loved ones and clients.  A Christ-Centered Mentor sees the divinity in you and simply wants you to find your perfect place, your purpose, your calling and your mission at this season in your life!

As your, "Christ-Centered Mentor", I can assure you that your sessions will be filled with the sweet whisperings of your worth and value, of your gifts and talents, of your strengths and abilities!  It is my prayer, that I can be a messenger to those who desire to "Discover Your Gift---Deliver Your Message!"

Somewhere in your ten-session process, you just may decide that it is time for you to begin your business in "Joy Coaching" and become a "Christ-Centered Mentor" too!

Believe me...there is not a profession out there, for women and men who are creatively, consciously, connecting to Christ---in their personal and business lives, that is more satisfying and joy-fulfilling!

Much Love,

Dancing With Joy

Becoming a "Joy Coach" is a process! It all started the night I dreamed I was “Dancing With Jesus”. Following that first dream, other dreams followed. Songs followed the dreams. I kept careful journal entries along the path so that I wouldn’t waste a single drop of joy! I learned that dancing with the Spirit, is all about learning how to follow and flow with, the Savior’s lead. I had to drop my will. I had to stop resisting following His lead. This blog shares my experiences along the way.

I was never a dancer before I spent one year dancing in my dreams with the Savior. I was always a singer. So, each time I woke up, I wrote a song. Soon, I had enough songs, to fill three more cds. I have discovered that His Grace, has made me more feel more graceful. I realize now, that I am indeed have a "Dancing Spirit". Using the gifts of self expression and the creative arts, has become an integrated part of my life’s journey in leading other souls to dance with joy.

"Dancing with Joy" is something I do daily now. I dance like the angels are watching. I sing like the angels are listening. I journal, like the angels are taking notes. I do what I do for the Glory of God. While singing symbolizes the discovery of receiving your mission call in life, dancing symbolizes moving gracefully into the performance of our own unique mission here upon this earth stage. We must take certain steps in order to have joy more consistently. It is by cultivating a talent to create a life filled with Joy. It is the integration of our relationship with Christ, With Others, and with One Self that determines our degree of glorious happiness in this life.

I pray that this blog will enlighten your journey with love, peace, hope, faith and above all, that the mental, emotional and spiritual pathways between your mind and heart may be cleared from sadness, sorrow, grief or fear; so that you may experience joy more abundantly than ever before! These daily steps in “amazing grace” are designed to lead you into further introspection and to provide you with the opportunity to think your own thoughts, feel your own feelings, and express your own ideas and live your own life more joyfully than ever before!

The Healer's Touch: The Gift of Our God-Given Senses

After lullabying the women at the prison, last week, I have begun to pray more earnestly for opportunities to lullaby God’s chidren. While ministering to the women at the prison, I felt of their deep gratitude, expressed in the closing prayer of my program. One of the inmates prayed for “those volunteers who ceaselessly seek to comfort and bless us.” After that prayer, I began praying more earnestly, that my voice and hands may become the instruments through which ministering angels may minister to their loved ones, no matter where they may be.

A few days later, I received a call from my dear friend Natalie. A dear friend in common, had asked Natalie, to ask me if I would be willing to come to the ICU unit to lullaby her husband and minister to him with my songs and oils. I gratefully accepted the invitation to go and minister to her husband, that very evening.

Our friend, my former client’s husband, Cam, had been in a sledding accident, days before, which left him paralyzed from the pectorial muscles down. When I arrived in the ICU unit, I was directed to his room. As I approached his bed, he slowly opened his eyes and greeted me with a weary but heart-warming smile. “Karyn Grant?” He said with a deep breath. “Yes, I am Karyn Grant.” I smiled at him and whispered, “…thank you so much for letting me come to see you! I wanted to come and be here with you!”

“Thank you for coming…” he smiled gingerly. “I know of you because your voice and your oils have blessed my wife, our home, family and neighborhood so much. My wife has done so much good in our neighborhood with aromatherapy since she met you.” I was taken back for a moment. I had no idea that the prayers I have offered countless times, were being answered; “Please bless my client’s husbands with the scents and songs of my heart. Let these oils and lullabies bless the husbands and fathers as well as the women and children!” “Thank you so much for letting me know…I had no idea…” I said, as I gently squeezed his hand.

Cam asked me to hold the straw for him that was laying beside a cup of chicken bullion. As he sipped the warm fluid, we talked quietly for a few moments.“This is my first hospital food…my wife has been bringing me fresh fruits and vegetables…I loved cucumbers and celery…” he said with a grateful smile.

I pulled out a small cd player, the “Divine Essence CD”, essential oils and some lotion. Slowly, I put the head phones on his ears and began to massage his hands and feed him grapes as he listened to the music. I felt such strength and power in his hands, as the message of God’s love in music, prompted him to squeeze my hand as he listened to the songs and breathed in the aromas. Delicately, I put the oils, “Scents of Peace” and “Child-like Faith” onto his forehead and on his upper lip so that he could breathe in the solacing aromas as he listened. I did not expect such a gracious and tender reaction… With every stroke, he sighed deeply and continued to affirm, “I am in heaven…this is heaven…thank you so much for coming…”

How could a man who had just undergone such a debilitating accident connect so consciously to a bit of heaven on earth? I realized as I massaged his hands that this was bringing to his conscious awareness, every single one of his God-given senses. His spirit was not paralyzed! His spirit was alive and aware and reawakening, even though his body was paralyzed, through his physical senses which seemed so acute!

Soon, my dear friend, Natalie, the woman who had invited me to come, came into the room. As she massaged Cam’s shoulders and arms, she whispered words of love and encouragement to him. He continued to whisper words of praise to her—thanking her for each and every stroke. Never had I seen anyone, more grateful for the sense of touch.

I watched in amazement, as a man, 50 years old, blessed every one of his God-given senses, as we ministered to him. Each grape was a gift. Each wisp of a new aroma, a pure delight. Each sound, each tone of music…a reminder of heaven. I said to him, “We are here to spoil you!” He smiled, with his eyes closed and whispered, “You are spoiling me…but you’re not quite there yet…”

I marveled at how even his sense of humor was accute and active, though he was obviously exhausted from the effort of trying to clear his throat. “I prayed this morning that I would be able to clear my throat today. It’s a simple act that normally we perform forty times a day, but, I haven’t been able to do it since yesterday. I’ve been working at it all day. I also prayed…” he whispered as he inhaled and exhaled deeply, “that I would be able to sleep well tonight.”

He talked to us about “cherishing the moment” and I thought of the book I had been writing that takes each and every day, one at a time, and makes that day, a day to be praised, rejoiced over and celebrated. Even after all that Cam had been through, he was still finding beautiful reasons to rejoice and “cherish the moment”. In such a beautiful and tenderly expressive way, he was teaching me how to express gratitude for blessings that I take for granted. He celebrated each moment that we spent with him.

Before we left, I asked him if he would like us to say an evening prayer with him. He offered the most beautiful prayer, in our behalf. Not mention of himself, only rejoicing that we had come and that others had come throughout the day. He thanked the Lord for the sweetness of each grape, for the friend who had brought them and for each tenderness rendered to him. I felt so humbled, as I listened—realizing how often I take the small and simple joys for granted.

I told Cam about my desire to “Lullaby The Fathers” and asked him if we might sing him a lullaby so that he might have “sweet dreams”. “Oh…” he said, as he closed his eyes,“the Fathers need it so much…we need it sooo much…” His voice trailed off as Natalie and I sang to him, acapella, “Oh Know Ye Not That Angels Are Near?”from my “Healer’s Touch” CD, to close the evening and leave a blessing upon his heart and mind. As we walked to my car, we marveled together about the amazing gift that the human body is—and yet, when everything else is taken away, what a blessing to still have our God-given senses—including our sense of humor.

The greatest sense I learned about, is that a sense of gratitude and rejoicing is not dependent upon our circumstances. Here was a man who demonstrated to me, a spirit and character that cannot be defeated though his physical body is asleep. How awake, how aware, how robust his spirit!

I am grateful for the opportunity to meet the wonderful men that I do on a daily basis…I want to uplift them, praise them, rejoice over them and encourage them—but in the process, it is I who is being “thrice blessed”.

The Forgiving Heart

“A Little Child Shall Lead Them”

Today, as I taught my little five years old, there lesson about “Faith in Jesus Christ”, I asked them to close their eyes and visualize Him smiling at each one of them. I gave them each my “Angel Lullabies” cd and told them to listen to song number 12, “His Smile is Love”. I encouraged them to each go home and listen to the song with their eyes closed and imagine Jesus smiling upon them as they go to sleep each night. As they squinted their eyes tightly closed, I asked them, “If you can imagine Jesus smiling on you right now, raise your hand!”

Immediately, seven little hands shot up in the air in exuberance and enthusiasm. We said our good-byes and I asked them to listen to their lullabies every night and imagine Jesus close beside them each night.

Soon, it became my turn to test my faith in Jesus Christ, visualization skills. During the Sacrament, I realized that I had some forgiving and repenting to do….The following are my meditations and the process of visualizing that I went through….on an adult level.

Truly, God knew what he was doing when he inspired someone to have me teach the five year olds. He knew, I would need a little child to lead me….to Him.

I suppose the art of forgiving is an art that must be learned and relearned…unless of course God grants you with the gift of a forgiving heart. Perhaps, the art of listening, preempts the spirit of true forgiveness. I find it interesting that the word “art”, as well as the word “ear” is in the word “heart”.

Recently, I realized that one of my most precious relationships was in trouble. Because of our busy lives, a friend and I had become dependent upon text messaging, emails and voice mail through which to conduct our business and relationship ties. Slowly, we both began realizing that something was getting lost in the translation. Tone of voice cannot be conveyed through text messaging. Some messages were missed as well as “mixed”.

Soon hurt feelings that transpired all though miscommunications or “mixed communications” transpired. The written words were taken out of context. Now, it appeared that we would have to have a face to face meeting to unravel the misunderstanding that had grown.

A few more text messages and the plot worsened. Now it seemed unresolvable.

I went to church and began to pray for a way to resolve what seemed now to be “irreconciliable differences” between my friend and I. But of us were feeling misunderstood. Both of us yearned to be understood. As I sat in church praying, the words came to my mind…”It is not in your stewardship to judge your neighbor. It is only in your job description to love your neighbor. If you neighbor has hurt you, and isn’t able to put salve into your wounds, bring your wounds to Me. Only I can heal them. Only I can mend your broken hearts.”

In my mind’s eye, I saw myself sitting with the Savior. He was gazing at the wounds now festering in my heart and in my friend’s. He was putting ointment in our wounds and bandaging them up so that they could not only be healed, but sealed up from further infection. Soon, both “little girls” were laughing and playing with each other again.

I marvel upon the gift of a forgiving heart. I cannot heal your wounds. You cannot heal mine. There is only one Divine Physician. The only balm that can heal a broken heart is the healing balm of gilead which penetrates through the layers, rips, cuts and tears of our broken hearts. But, we must bring our hearts to this Divine Physician. We must open our hearts and let him touch the wounds.

There is healing in his finger. There is healing in his hands. There is healing in his heart. There is healing in his eyes. There is healing in his smile…in his voice.

During the Sacrament, I found myself discovering a deepening ability to “see Jesus” in my mind’s eye. I saw my friend and myself…at age five…coming to Him with our heart-wounds exposed…both ready, both waiting, both willing to be touched by the Healer’s Touch.

Reminiscing how the pains got there, trying to share all sides of the story, urgently trying to defend our good intentions….perhaps would have only made matters worse. Sometimes forgiveness means simply, “letting go and letting God” make the divine apologies, pour in the healing salve of salvation, repair the breach and call it, “Good”.

Discovering Your Inner Joy

Orem Joy Coach uses skills to treat others to promote emotional wholeness

There is nothing that brings me greater joy than working with my clients...from the smallest child to the wisest soul, I have enjoyed my clients through the years! Joy Coaching is the love of my life....with music, massage and aromatherapy!

The Gift of A Joyful Heart!

Joy is a choice that we make each moment.  Life affords us "pop quizzes" to see how we are doing in our choice to "act" or "react".  I am choosing joy in each and every moment!  I am choosing to press forward with a loving, forgiving, gracious, graceful heart.  If I could develop one talent in mortality...one gift to take home with me at the end of this life, it would be to cultivate the gift of a joyful heart.  Then no matter what the circumstance, no matter what the situation, no matter how challenging the "pop quiz"....I would go on not only enduring, but enjoying....to the end!
